Paul Cup (in rock crystal, golden silver, tourmaline, amethyst)

One of the most complex works ever created by Pestelli Creazioni. Inspired by the sacredness of the symbolic shape of the Globe (which in the Middle Ages symbolized the Temporal power, due only to Emperors or Kings). Guarding the rock crystal Globe three menacing Dragons leaned on an elegant golden Trilobo (symbol of the Three). The Cup is decorated with multicolored tourmaline and amethyst stones.
The cup is entirely built by connecting the parts by joining pins and threaded screws. This ancient technique – nowadays almost totally abandoned – has been used over the centuries to build complex objects both for furniture and liturgical objects.
A truly unique art object that evokes the charm of the Wunderkammer of the past centuries (or Cabinet of Curiosities > read more).
The work was entirely hand made in our Studio in Florence on our exclusive design.
