Octopus Cufflinks (sterling silver, lapislazzuli) designed and hand made by Pestelli Creazioni
Measurements: 2,1 cm x 2 cm (lapis lazuli stone 0,8 cm)
These cufflinks are entirely handmade in 925 silver and forged in the shape of an octopus with curved tentacles. In the back a lapis lazuli stone protects each cufflink.
Lapis lazuli is one of the most reknown precious stones since ancient times. Lapis lazuli is formed with tertiary lithogenetic process, during the metamorphosis of marble calcium. The predominant blue color is due to the presence of sulfur, white is due to calcite and gold is due to pyrite raising because of iron. The name lapis lazuli comes from the Persian “lapis lazulo”, which means blue stone. Since it originates from the cubic crystal system, in crystal therapy it is considered the ideal stone for those who prefer order and who aim to keep everything under control.
