Nereid (in rock crystal, silver, lapis lazuli, red coral)

Work created on request for a customer who wanted a unique and personalized version of our previous work The Fight Of Nereid. In particular, compared to the previous one, this Nereid had to have more expressly marine characteristics and the coral had to be “born” from the figure itself.
The work is mounted on a lapis lazuli base. The figure was modeled and then made of silver by lost wax casting. The coral that “comes” from the figure holds a rock crystal bowl. All the elements were assembled together using screws and pins, as was customary in antiquity on objects of this type. With the final assembly, all these construction elements then become invisible. The work was entirely hand made in our Studio in Florence on our exclusive design.
