Tiger’s eye belongs to the group of quartz, but it is not a volcanic stone, because it is born in the bowels of Mother Earth. It is native to South Africa, but some deposits are also found in Australia, India, Brazil and Burma. Its colors are fabulous and it is all these reflections that have also made it known as the stone of divination.
According to some medieval legends, the tiger’s eye is able to defend its owner from demons and evil spirits. Its reflexes are similar to those of an eye and therefore other legends say that it acts as a protector towards this organ. In India, on the other hand, many centuries ago, this stone was given by the mother to her son, to help him overcome all the daily problems, while in other cultures it is believed that the tiger’s eye helps to never run out of money.
