On September 2nd and 3rd Dolce & Gabbana will bring their Haute Couture fashion shows to Florence.
A special project for Pitti Immagine that aims to pay homage to one of the most steeped cities in history and artisan tradition. That is precisely what the duo of stylists want to celebrate by bringing on the catwalk the creations of a selected group of artisans, chosen after a careful visit to their shops that will parade together with the creations of the brand.
«We are very happy that our next Haute Couture events will take place in Florence, a city that we love very much and that, at this moment, has a special value» comment Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana. “Florence was the cradle of the Renaissance, of Italian style, of an ancient wisdom that has been handed down and continues to transfer its influence on contemporary culture and aesthetics. Bringing our work to iconic places in the city is a dream come true. And even more so, is the ability to work closely with the artisans of the city, who keep in their shops a precious and timeless know-how. We thank Florence and Pitti Immagine for this opportunity; together we will create a new italian Renaissance”.
To prepare for the event Domenico Dolce came to the Pestelli Creazioni atelier in Borgo Santi Apostoli 20/r in Florence to select personally jewels and works of artistic craftsmanship that will parade in September on the Dolce&Gabbana catwalks in the most beautiful locations in Florence.
