This cup is inspired by the Celtic symbolism. The deer is the figure of the messenger between the earthly and the spiritual world and with its horns it holds the cup, the chalice of eternal life. The work is made of silver parts by lost wax casting. The shapes thus fused were first adapted to the shape of the hard stone cup and then worked with chisel and graver. The amethyst cup and the silver deer are held together by the use of pins and are placed on a sardonic agate base.
